The Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (NITP), has elected new principal officers to run its affairs for the next one year. TPL. Nathaniel Atebije, the former first National Vice President, emerging as the President and Chairman of Council. TPL. Atebije takes over from TPL. Olutoyin Ayinde, the immediate past President of the Institute.
At the Annual General Meeting of the Institute held on the 11th November, 2022 at M&M Event Centre Abuja, the following Officers were elected into the National Executive Committee positions of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners.

3. TPL. Prof. Kingsley Ogboi, FNITP – 2nd National Vice President
4. TPL. Ashiru Olugbenga, FNITP – National Secretary
5. TPL. Dr. Mohammed Zayyanu, FNITP – 1st Assistant National Secretary
6. TPL. Edmund Nwokaeze, MNITP – 2nd Assistant National Secretary
7. TPL. Zachariah Alonge, FNITP – National Financial Secretary
8. TPL. Agomuo Emeka, MNITP – National Treasurer
9. TPL. Sani Adamu, MNITP – National Auditor
10. TPL. Dr. David Olawale, FNITP – National Public Relations Secretary
11. TPL. Dr. Jesse Nor, FNITP – Assistant National Public Relations Secretary
12. TPL. Ayodele Adejumo, FNITP – Chairman Practice Committee
13. TPL. Dr. Olanrewaju Samson, MNITP – Chairman Publications Committee

The new president and Chairman of Council of the Institute is a registered planner with vast experience working in the public sector.
His pedigree as a seasoned and tested professional is not in doubt as he has distinguished himself creditably in every assignment he has been saddled with over the years.
According to a statement signed by the National Public Relations Secretary of the Institute, TPL. Dr. David Olawale, the investiture of the new President and Chairman of Council which will be witnessed by members of the Institute, representatives of other professional bodies, government and corporate bodies at a later date which will be communicated soon.
